The Cuttlefish of Babbacombe Bay DVD
We tell the story of how these Liberty Ship came into being, from the British designer's, to how we got the American’s to build these Cargo ships. We look at the people who sailed on them and also look at the wreck site of the “James Eagan Layne”, and the community that lived in the bay when the ship came in, in March 23 rd 1945. The impact in had on the marine life of the bay.
We finish the evening with the film of the James Eagan Layne ( 33 mins),
